Valparaiso Mennonite Lead Pastor Profile
The Lead Pastor is responsible for working with the church leadership team and staff to cast vision and lead Valparaiso Mennonite Church. The position is full-time and salary is commensurate to responsibilities with consideration given to applicant's experience, education, and previous effectiveness. The position is accountable to the Board of Elders.
Valparaiso Mennonite’s mission is to share the hope they experience in Christ. They are an Anabaptist community church that teaches, shares and does life together centered on Jesus. Valparaiso Mennonite has an average weekly attendance of around 50, and an annual operating budget of $95,000. It has its own building on 4 acres of land on the east edge of Valparaiso, the county seat of Porter County, in NW Indiana, 50 miles SE of Chicago, IL. Valparaiso is home to Valparaiso University and has a population of 33,000 people. It is also located 15 miles south of the shores of Lake Michigan.
